I introduced Fixe Hardware to the U.S. in 1993. My goal was to supply anchoring systems designed specifically for climbing. As climbers we take for granted that the bolts and anchors we clip into will arrest a fall. Anchors help dictate the mental and physical characteristics of a given route. Whether bolting by hand, on lead, from the ground up, or on rappel with a power drill the anchors we install help make climbs unique and memorable.

Before bolting please consider these questions: Why is there not already a route in this location? Will this route be a quality, independent line? Please do not bolt cracks! Unclimbed cracks are very rare. R.P.’s and Offsets were designed to protect thin cracks and they work! Even though it is to our financial disadvantage, we would prefer if more gear was used and less bolts were placed! When choosing which hardware to install the rock characteristics and weathering elements should dictate the type and quality.
